Anyone can have a Church of England Funeral - you do not need to be 'religious' and many people find great comfort in the form of words and prayers.

Whether or not you have been a member of St Mary’s, St Michael’s or St Thomas’, it is a great privilege for us to take part in the funeral of a loved one for you – whether you have the service at  one of our churches, the crematorium, cemetery or Woodland Burial Park.

Usually, after you have seen a Funeral Director, they will contact us directly to see if we can help, but if you want to get in touch first, please feel free to contact us.

In the first instance we will come and visit you at your home and listen to your ideas and wishes.  It may be that your loved one has left specific instructions and, as far as we are able, we will try to meet all that you ask.  If not, the most important thing is to find right ways to speak about the person you’ve lostor that represents some of what you feel they mean to you and to others.  We can help you do that.

If you have any questions about the funeral service or, more importantly, would like to speak to someone regarding a bereavement you are undergoing, please feel most welcome to contact us.
In the meantime, we pray that you will find the peace and comfort of God surrounding you at this time.

A blessing for you.
May God give you
his comfort and his peace,
his light and his joy, in this world and the next;
and the blessing of God Almighty,
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
be among you and remain with you always.
Amen.
