Churches Together Beaconsfield (CTB) - Final Social
As you might be aware CTB as a formal organisation has come to an end but will continue as Churches in Beaconsfield in a simliar way.
We are having a final social for all those who have been involved in CTB over the years to give thanks for the work, ministry and relationships that have been established over the years. There will be a 'bring and share' dinner with wine and soft drinks provided at 7.30pm on Wednesday 7th October in the Fitzwilliam Centre.
If you have been involved with CTB and would like to attend please rsvp to revlucyfj@gmail.com, so we have an idea of numbers. Many thanks. Lucy
Reminders & Events - Team
Prayer for the Time of Vacancy: Gracious God, you are always with us. We thank you for guiding us by your Spirit through our life together as church. We pray that we may hear your voice in this time of vacancy. Give us patience, vision and courage as we seek a new priest and as we become a more Christ-like church, for the sake of God’s world: contemplative, compassionate and courageous. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Lunchtime Recital - Saturday 26th September Pianist Andrew Melvin will delight us with Scenes from Childhood. Free - donations welcome. For poster click here.
Books for Young Children At the end of the Country Fair, the organiser at the St Mary’s toy stall kindly let us have the remaining children’s books for the bookshelf in The Dove Café. The shelves got quite depleted over the summer, as it is a very popular feature of the cafe.
Even with the new books added, the picture book section is still quite low. If you can spare any books for young children we would be pleased to receive them. If you take them to your church they will find their way to us. Thank you.
